Scope of work

Every section is written with the failure modes in mind — the things that typically go wrong on annual report projects. Use them verbatim or edit to match how you actually deliver.

  1. 01

    Narrative Development

Interview 4–6 stakeholders (leadership, program staff, beneficiaries) to surface the year's story. Anchor on 1 main narrative + 3 supporting themes — not a data dump.

  2. 02

    Editorial & Data Collection

Manuscript editing, fact-checking, and data visualization for key metrics. Charts designed with accessibility (color-blind-safe, descriptive captions).

  3. 03

    Design & Layout

40–60 page document in InDesign with editorial typography, pull quotes, imagery, and infographics. Digital and print versions managed in parallel (aspect ratios, bleed, pagination).

  4. 04

    Production & Distribution

Print-ready PDF (with bleed + CMYK), accessible web PDF (tagged, screen-reader friendly), optional print vendor coordination, and social media teaser graphics.

Deliverables

What the client gets at the end. Specific enough to be defendable; editable enough to match your exact delivery.

  • 40–60 page annual report (InDesign source + print + web PDFs)
  • Accessibility-tested web version (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Pull-quote graphics for social (6–8 assets)
  • Print vendor coordination (optional add-on)
